Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Timeline Compass. Plain-language summary: you get a 7-day trial, you can cancel anytime, you own what you create, and we never post to your X account.
1. Who you are contracting with
Timeline Compass (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered software-as-a-service platform. By creating an account or subscribing you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who may use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your login credentials secure. One account is for one person or one business; do not share access.
3. What the service does
Timeline Compass helps you plan, draft, and analyze content for X. It can read your public X posts (with your permission), generate drafts and analysis using AI, and store your ideas and content.
The service never posts, replies, likes, follows, or sends messages on your behalf. Our X integration requests read-only permissions only. Publishing anything is always an action you take yourself, on X.
4. Trial, pricing, and billing
- New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. No charge occurs during the trial.
- Paid plans are $49 per month or $499 per year.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You authorize the recurring charge when you subscribe.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.
We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A price change never affects a billing period you have already paid for.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from the billing portal in your settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refund terms are set out in our Fulfillment Policy.
6. Your content
You own the content you put into Timeline Compass and the drafts you generate with it. We claim no ownership over your ideas, posts, or articles. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you: storing your content, transmitting it to the AI providers that generate your requested output, and displaying it back to you.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
7. AI-generated output
Output is generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, unoriginal, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing anything before you publish it. We make no guarantee that output is factually correct, non-infringing, or unique to you — similar prompts can produce similar results for different users. Nothing the service produces is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or X’s own terms and automation rules, using this service.
- Generate or distribute harassment, spam, malware, or content that impersonates others.
- Attempt to access other users’ data, or probe, scrape, or overload our systems.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written permission.
- Circumvent usage limits, billing, or access controls.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these rules, and we will tell you why when we do.
9. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties including X, Stripe, and AI model providers. We do not control them. If a third party changes its terms, pricing, or availability — for example if X restricts API access — features may change or stop working. That is not a breach of these terms. 10. Availability
We aim for reliable service but do not promise a specific uptime. We may modify or discontinue features, or discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice. Refund terms are set out in our Fulfillment Policy.
11. Your data on termination
You can export your data at any time from settings. If you delete your account, we delete your content as described in the Privacy Policy. Export before deleting — deletion is not reversible.
12. Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost followers, or lost business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, these terms limit our liability only as far as the law permits, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, cancel before they take effect.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
